French Country House Plans

Inspired by cottages in rural France, French Country architecture reflects a wealth of diversity as old and new, formal and informal elements are mixed in homes ranging from small cottages and farmhouses to grand chateaus. Common elements include tall, thin windows, often with slat-board shutters, steep roofs, multiple gables, and assorted arches. Exterior is typically a mixture of stucco and stone, or brick and stone, trimmed with painted timbers, windows boxes, wrought iron railings and brick or stone highlights around windows and doors. Frank Betz Associates, Inc. offer many different home plan designs featuring an open floor plan, fireplaces, beamed, or vaulted ceilings, built-in cabinets, and variations of exterior materials and architectural details to capture the casual charm and elegance of French Country.
